The SmoothGlide is a counterbalanced system that utilizes a weight that is housed in the side profile; the weight hangs on a cable which runs through a series of pulleys, and along the top & bottom tracks. The cable ends are attached to the top & bottom of the screen pull-bar. The weight counterbalances the spring tension causing the screen to stay in whatever position you leave it.

The housing and tracks mount inside of the doorframe, the screen pulls across the door opening from the housing, and runs inside a top and bottom track, the tracks encase the screen material between a double row of brushes. There is a full-length brush in the side profile that’s mounted opposite the screen housing. All this provides a complete seal around the door that will keep all flying and crawling insects out.

The screen is a vinyl coated fiberglass screen that rolls up inside of a stylish aluminum housing when not in use. We use a stainless steel spring for smooth operation, and to prevent corrosion. The housing and tracks are made of an extruded aluminum that is powder-coated for a durable finish. All this assures product durability for inside or outside applications, and for many years of trouble free operation.
